Joshua Hughes

Bass-baritone, Joshua Hughes, lauded for his “full-voiced, highly expressive, bass-baritone pipes” (Theatre Eddy’s), “powerful lyricism” (Texas Classical Review), and “brilliant vocal range” (DC Metro Theater Arts), has performed with the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Symphony, West Bay Opera, Lamplighters Music Theatre, Soli Deo Gloria, American Baroque Opera, Dallas Bach Society, Young Victorian Theatre Company, Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Opera in Concert, Orchestra of New Spain, Lyric Opera Baltimore, and Hong Kong Disneyland. Previous performances at OSJ include Tosca (Sciarrone), Alma Deutscher’s Cinderella (Minister), West Side Story (Baby John), and Carmen. Other recent Bay Area performances include La Traviata (Dottore Grenvil), Don Giovanni (Masetto and Commendatore), Der fliegende Holländer (Daland), and Iolanthe (Lord Chancellor).
