Known for his powerful bass voice and commanding stage presence, Glenn Healy has a penchant for performing a myriad of musical genres. He was last seen performing in the world premiere of Tenderhooks, a new work about dating during the pandemic, with Left Coast Chamber Ensemble in San Francisco. Other noteworthy performances include Zuniga in Carmen with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bass Solo in Handel’s Messiah with Cappella Antiqua, and Curio in Handel’s Giulio Cesare with West Edge Opera. Glenn is also a member of the bass section of the San Francisco Opera Chorus.
A graduate of Des Moines Metro Opera and Sarasota Opera’s respective Young Artist Programs, Glenn covered Alcindoro and Benoit in Puccini’s La bohème as well as 2nd Armed Man in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. He holds a Bachelor’s (2014) and Master’s (2016) Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan.
