Opera San José Audition Notice

Maestro Joseph Marcheso and Opera San José announce the following vacancies:

PRINCIPAL OBOE

SECOND FRENCH HORN

All audition rounds for PRINCIPAL OBOE will take place on Monday, April 28, 2025.

All audition rounds for SECOND FRENCH HORN will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Auditions will take place at the California Theatre in San Jose, California.

The position begins in July 2025.

To apply for either audition, please send a one-page resume to auditions@operasj.org by Friday, March 28, 2025, along with a refundable $50 deposit (made out to Opera San José) to:

Candidates will be invited to participate based on their submitted materials. Applications received after the deadline may not be considered. Deposit check must be postmarked by the deadline.
