Immerse yourself in an artistic adventure–join our exclusive journey through Santa Fe. Together, we’ll enjoy a week full of captivating performances at Santa Fe Opera including an exciting world premiere, enchanting art by Georgia O’Keefe and other talents, guided behind-the-scenes tours, exquisite fine dining, luxurious accommodations, and other thrilling, bespoke activities. Santa Fe’s hidden gems will be shared by OSJ Executive Director Shawna Lucey, who started her career at Santa Fe Opera.

Your 7 days in Santa Fe Will Include

Day 1- Arrive in Santa Fe

You’ll travel independently to Santa Fe and check into the beautiful Hotel Santa Fe to relax and prepare for a busy week. The group will gather for an intimate opening night dinner at Gabriels, a Southwestern eatery that Zagat has declared “one of America’s top restaurants, rated excellent in all categories.”

Day 2- Day Trip to Ghost Ranch and The Righteous

On Tuesday, we leave Santa Fe to explore the gorgeous cliffs and mesas that inspired Georgia O’Keefe. We will visit Ghost Ranch, Georgia’s iconic home. We will enjoy a docent-led tour in a beautiful setting. Lunch at the Abiquiu Inn is included. You will then have the afternoon free to get ready to attend The Righteous, Gregory Spears and Tracy K. Smith’s intriguing world premiere Opera exploring spirituality and ambition.

Day 3- Backstage at Santa Fe Opera and Tour the Vladem Contemporary & The Elixir of Love

A bus ride out to the opera and a curated backstage tour. Return to Santa Fe and enjoy a docent-led tour of the the newly-opened New Mexico Museum of Art Vladem Contemporary. In the evening, we’ll see a stunning performance of Donicetti and Romani’s The Elixir of Love, directed by Stephen Lawless who recently helmed the acclaimed production of The Barber of Seville at Opera San José.

Day 4- Georgia O’Keefe Museum Tour and La Traviata

We will head out for a private tour of the Georgia O’Keefe Museum followed by lunch downtown. You will have the afternoon to yourself before we return to Santa Fe Opera for a new production of Verdi’s passion-filled La traviata

Day 5- Preview Dinner and Der Rosenkavalier

Enjoy a day on your own exploring Santa Fe. Then, head back to the opera for an on-site preview dinner, an opera-themed open-air meal on Santa Fe Opera’s beautifully landscaped grounds. During dessert, an expert will lead us in a discussion about the evening’s opera: Strauss’ glorious Der Rosenkavalier.

Day 6- Curated Santa Fe Plaza galleries and shop walk & Don Giovanni

On our last full day in Santa Fe, we will have a local guide lead us on an architecture and shopping tour around town. We will have our final dinner together at Restaurant Martin with their James Beard nominated chef Martin Rios before concluding the trip with Mozart’s powerful Don Giovanni at Santa Fe Opera.
