While a principal artist of the resident company, CARLOS AGUILAR (2005 - 2008) performed the roles of Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), The Bailiff (Werther), Sparafucile (Rigoletto) and Sarastro (The Magic Flute) during the 2007 - 2008 season. Other roles performed with the company include Frere Laurent (Roméo et Juliette), Basilio (The Barber of Seville), Dr. Grenville (La traviata), the Bonze (Madama Butterfly), Reverend John Hale (The Crucible), Count de Horn (A Masked Ball), Colline (La bohème), Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Morales (Carmen) and  Nourabad in Bizet's The Pearl Fishers.

Mr. Aguilar was first place winner in both the 2005 San Jose Opera Guild and San Jose Woman's Club competitions.
